Off topic: A separate bug report for the heart bug was created. The camera perspective is not what I would expect it to be, even if one considers that it "just" changes by rotation and does not move around with the head as ones eyes would do. One can easily tell that the camera is positioned differently in each type of cockpit/seat by paying attention to the visible parts of the engineers character model, especially when looking to the side. This has been repeated for each type of cockpit/seat. At last, rotating the camera down when looking to the side with ALT and ARROW KEY DOWN again. Leaving and re-entering the cockpit/seat to regain the standard perspective and rotating the camera with ALT and ARROW KEY RIGHT as far as possible. The screenshot "front down" is take after using ALT and ARROW KEY DOWN to change the camera view. The screenshot "front" is taken while looking straight to the front. The game version is 1.197.075 defaultĮntering the cockpit/seat and switching to 1st person view. The screenshots are taken in a new created world with no mods, deactivated post processing and the standard field of view (70). Okay, find some screenshots attached, taken from each type of cockpit/seat. The "heart" on the tank looks a bit weird, as one can see in the attached screenshot. To reproduce what I consider a bug, just jump inside the different cockpit types, use ALT to take a look around an compare the field of view and camera position relativ to your characters head.Īs a side note: There is a graphical bug in the small industrial cockpit since its implementation, when turning your head to the right or left. The camera position in every other cockpit or seat is just way of a realistic position. The camera position in a small grid fighter cockpit is great from a front-rear perspective but seems to be a bit too high. The camera position in a control seat or cockpit on a large grid feels “okay” for me, though it could be repositioned a bit more to the rear. It also influences the visibility of the integrated displays of the cockpits/control seats. It is also hindering the games immersion as the camera position is not the head of the character. This is causing a major impact on the field of view out of a cockpit or (control) seat in first person. Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently. ![]() you cant view or download this file at this time. ![]() The only giving me pause is that the footage for the cockpit and death star Trench werent made by me. When sitting in a cockpit or seat, the camera position is different in each type of cockpit/seat.įrom a front to back perspective, it seems like the camera is sometimes simply positioned in the middle of the cockpit block. Heres another version of the X-Wing Animated Background I edited but with the Death Star Trench Run as the background.
